Sorrento SyArt Festival

The SyArt Sorrento Festival, now in its fifth edition, from 16 July at Villa Fiorentino presents thirty-three artists representing thirteen nationalities. An introspective journey, an examination of a suspended time in which one moves in the space/place of the rooms of the historical residence, generating interconnections and visions.

The artists come from countries such as: Italy, Indonesia, Iran, Egypt, Poland, Spain, Bosnia, Turkey, Slovakia, Japan, Russia, Austria and Serbia tell stories, places and journeys in which the human being is at the centre. In a time of great epochal transformations, the artist marks a trace, breaks in and remodels, builds the universal home. With site-specific works by Ehsan Shayegh, Giorgia Di Lorenzo, Ufuk Boy, Prisco De Vivo and Edina Seleskovic, the spaces narrate the present through vivid suggestions and references. As usual, collateral events are organised and the involvement of the students of the Liceo Artistico - Musicale "Francesco Grandi" of Sorrento is renewed, specifically the "Book Design" class, through the presentation of graphic projects.
