Gennaro Odore born 1962 in Naples Italy, where at present he lives and works. He began his painting career at a very young age, developing his poetic course, through a long and laborious working passage in which, like every good artist, he studies and he perfects his pictorial technique. In his works, the artist often succeeds to show his soul, so much in a way that he involves the observer emotionally. His paintings reflect his introspective and sensitive character; in fact many of his figurative works have contained topics of the great existential of which man always interrogates. As a child he was attracted by painting and drawing, but his scholastic education was guided towards other subjects by his parents, even though he showed great artistic talent.
Cultivating his great passion for art as a self taught artist and at the same time continuing with his studies, creating and painting, working for the most well known art merchants of Naples. Within the years he has perfected his technique and poetic skill confronting himself with the great masters of the past. Today he try’s, with the help of his technique capacity, is able to capture moment’s of everyday life full of beauty, sensuality, colour and love, for their simplicity (in a world that travels always faster) that sometimes we miss.
